The Territory Development Representative role is ultimately charged with increasing sales of the CBC’s portfolio within a designated distributor and regional footprint. This position is directly responsible for securing new distribution and increased volume for key on and off-premise accounts and working closely with the distributor network in the assigned territory to maintain/improve market share. Efficient and effective management of assigned distributor teams to obtain defined growth targets of CBC brands will be key to their success.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing distributors, accounts and sales team within assigned regional footprint
- Achieving distributor goals, as set forth in the Annual Business Plan (ABP) each year
- Tracking and maintaining weekly/monthly progress towards ABP year-end goals, in addition to co-op market spends monthly with distributors and CBC team
- Establishing impactful distributor programming that drives distribution and volume on CBC priorities as outlined in ABP and Trimester Goals
- Communicating detailed information for all sales programming, i.e. allocations, pricing, chain programming, launch dates, events, inventories to distributors
- Uncompromising pursuit of new On & Off Premise distribution and volume enhancing opportunities within assigned footprint

- 2 years of beverage/consumer goods selling experience (preferred)
- Must be able to navigate VIP and other data sources to evaluate business and make recommendations to retailers and distributors. Experience with IRI/Nielsen scan data a plus
- Strong oral and written communication – able to talk and write to others to convey information effectively
- Strong persuasion skills – able to influence others decision making or persuading others to change their minds or behavior
- Active listening skills – this is the key to all sales presentations, understanding your goals can only be achieved by listening to account needs and then filling those needs
- Excellent time management – able to be proactive and take initiative
- Excellent organization and coordination – able to manage priorities and routine functions effectively and efficiently
- Social perceptiveness skills – being aware of others’ reactions and understanding why they react as they do
- Decision making skills – able to collect, assess, and interpret relevant information and make sound judgments
- Negotiation skills – bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences
