WHERE YOU’LL WORK

CBC Beer HallLocated at 200 Kelton Avenue, the Beer Hall originally housed a mechanic shop to repair the trolleys that ran through Broad Street and Columbus back in the late 19th century. The Beer Hall now serves as CBC’s most expansive location, with multiple bars and dining areas, 24 tap handles, as well as a state-of-the-art kitchen serving a wide range of globally inspired foods.


WHAT’S THE JOB?

Beer Hall’s Assistant Kitchen Manager oversees the daily operations of the Back-of-House (BOH) while implementing Columbus Brewing Company’s (CBC) standards and values. Planning, communication, and strict attention to detail are vital to successfully operating in this position. This role should always positively represent the company while being consistent and fair to all teammates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
  • Oversee and support BOH and FOH teams—especially the kitchen—to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Lead by example, providing hands-on support during busy shifts to uphold service and quality standards.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members to foster a skilled and cohesive workforce.
  • Monitor and maintain service standards, addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Perform daily walk-throughs to guarantee cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Support inventory management by assisting with ordering, tracking stock, and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant General Manager and General Manager on scheduling, payroll, and performance reviews.
  • Implement promotions, events, and initiatives in alignment with CBC Beer Hall’s goals.

WHAT’s THE PAY?

Annual salary base between $50k-$55k, based on experience and qualifications.


WHAT’S REQUIRED?

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a kitchen setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of food, beverage, and service operations, committed to maintaining high standards.
• Proficiency with pos systems and basic computer applications.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
